Who are the borderland Winds?

Eric Neilsen - French Horn

Eric Neilsen performs primarily on the French Horn but also plays a bit on the trombone. He performed in the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 70s and early 80s with various groups. Eric was principle horn with the California Youth Symphony 1976-77. When he moved to Taos, NM he took a break from music and concentrated on photography. He started playing again when he moved to Castleton in 2015. The Wind Ensemble at Castleton University was his new starting point and that quickly lead to being active in many of the local community bands.

He regularly performs with Castleton University Wind Ensemble, Poultney Granville Town Band, Washington County Band in NY, Champlain Philharmonic Orchestra, Sage Symphony in Bennington, Backyard Brass and Harry too, and has been on stage with Green Mountain College, Great Music Orchestra, and Vermont Philharmonic Orchestra.
